Is CardVault really free?
Yes. There are no premium tiers or hidden costs. CardVault is a passion project built by a collector who wanted better tools. If that ever changes, you'll know upfront.
Which card games are supported?
We currently have full support for Pokémon TCG with 14,000+ indexed cards, 180+ sets, and curated editorial content. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, and Lorcana support are planned for future releases.
Where is my collection data stored?
Your data lives in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. You can use our hosted instance or self-host the entire app with your own database. Either way, you always own your data.
Can I use CardVault on my phone?
Yes! CardVault is fully responsive and works on any device with a web browser. A dedicated PWA (installable app) experience is on the roadmap for a native-like mobile experience.
How accurate are the card prices?
Market prices come from TCG pricing APIs and represent estimated market values. They give you a solid directional sense of your collection's worth, but they aren't real-time exchange prices.
What is the Quartett mode?
Quartett turns your collection into a playable card game. You pick cards from your vault and compare stats (HP, value, rarity) against a bot opponent. It's a fun way to interact with your cards beyond just tracking them.
When will other TCGs be supported?
We're focused on making the Pokémon experience great first. Once that's solid, we'll expand to other games. The architecture is ready — it's mainly about finding reliable data sources and building out the content.
